She said that US was supportive of the trust-building steps by both the countries. She was addressing the first session of ASEAN in Thailand. She said that the return of IDPs to Buner and Swat was positive yet Pakistan confronted many problems including extremism and bad economic situation. She said that US would continue its support to Pakistan. She said that US was ready to dialogue with North Korea but it should be purposeful. She said that North Korea had been alienated in the world and its actions were a threat for the regional peace.
