Doctors go on strike in Punjab, patients suffer

The doctors went on strike in all the government hospitals in Punjab on a call given by Pakistan Medical Association (PMA). Doctors in Lahore protested outside the hospitals and shouted slogans. PMA representative said that they had postponed protest for the two weeks after negotiations with the government but their demands were still not met. The patients had to suffer great difficulty in the absence of doctors however in Mayo and Ganga Ram Hospital doctors in Out Door and In Door wards worked afterwards.
