ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Armed Forces on Saturday commemorated the 68th martyrdom anniversary of Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed (Nishan-e-Haider), paying tribute to his exceptional bravery, devotion to duty and supreme sacrifice in the defence of the country.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of the Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, and the Armed Forces of Pakistan honoured the nation’s war hero for his courage and service.
The ISPR stated that Major Tufail Muhammad Shaheed displayed remarkable gallantry while leading his troops during a military operation. Despite sustaining critical injuries, he continued to lead the assault until the mission was successfully accomplished.

The Armed Forces and the people of Pakistan also paid tribute to all martyrs who sacrificed their lives in defence of the country, stating that their courage, patriotism and dedication continue to inspire future generations and remain a lasting symbol of national service and sacrifice.
