KARACHI (Web Desk) – The Sindh Education Department has decided to introduce a facial recognition-based attendance system while launching action against absentee employees and those allegedly holding fake academic degrees.
According to departmental sources, the new attendance system is aimed at improving monitoring and ensuring transparency in employee attendance across the province.
Sources said the department has received around 15,000 applications for early retirement from teaching and non-teaching staff, creating administrative and financial challenges for the Finance Division.

Meanwhile, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has begun scrutinising the academic credentials of employees recruited in the Sindh Education Department between 1989 and 2020 as part of an ongoing verification process.
