Summary Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Manila to attend the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum, where he will discuss regional security and hold bilateral meetings with participating ministers.
MANILA (Dunya News) – Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar arrived in Manila on Wednesday to participate in the 33rd ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) Ministerial Meeting, according to Pakistan's Foreign Office.
Upon his arrival, Dar was welcomed by Philippines Assistant Secretary for Foreign Affairs Elmer G. Cato, Pakistan's Ambassador to the Philippines Asima Rabbani and other officials.
The Foreign Office said the minister has a busy schedule of engagements, including participation in the ARF plenary session and a series of bilateral meetings with foreign ministers and senior delegates attending the forum.

The high-level gathering will bring together foreign ministers and representatives from 27 ARF member states, while the ASEAN Secretary-General will also take part in the meeting.
During the forum, Dar is expected to participate in discussions on key political and security issues affecting the Asia-Pacific region, with a focus on promoting peace, regional stability and mutual cooperation through sustained dialogue and diplomacy.
On the sidelines of the meeting, the deputy prime minister will also hold bilateral talks with his Philippine counterpart and several other participating dignitaries to discuss matters of mutual interest and strengthen diplomatic engagement.
Established in 1994, the ASEAN Regional Forum serves as a key platform for multilateral dialogue on regional security. Pakistan joined the forum in 2004 and has since remained an active participant, contributing to its regional initiatives and cooperative objectives.
