Summary Rescue sources said the body of 31-year-old man has been recovered from the river while three other persons are still missing.

NOWSHERA (Dunya News) – At least four people drowned while bathing in the Indus River in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Friday, after the river's water level and flow suddenly increased.

According to rescue officials, one of the victims was a student. A woman was rescued safely by local residents, who acted promptly. Rescue sources said the body of 31-year-old Anwar Islam, a resident of Peshawar, has been recovered from the river.

The officials said that search operation for the remaining three missing individuals continued but was temporarily suspended due to darkness. The operation will resume in the morning.

Meanwhile, the authorities have also urged the public to exercise caution near rivers and other water bodies and to avoid swimming or bathing during periods of strong water flow.
