MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) - The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government has issued an important travel advisory, urging tourists and travellers to exercise caution in view of a protest call announced by the Joint Awami Action Committee on June 9.
According to the advisory, authorities have appealed to the public to avoid non-essential travel to AJK between June 5 and June 20 due to potential disruptions arising from the planned demonstrations.
The government has also advised tourists and visitors planning leisure or other trips to postpone their travel until the situation becomes clearer.
In addition, travellers currently present in AJK have been requested to complete their activities and return by evening to avoid possible inconvenience.
Officials said the advisory was issued as a precautionary measure to ensure public safety and minimize travel-related difficulties during the protest period.
