MAILSI (Dunya News) – A five-year-old girl, who came for picnicking with her family on the occasion of Eidul Azha, was drowned in Mailsi Siphon Link Canal, Dunya News reported on Wednesday.
According to details, a family from Chadhar Bhanda area of Mailsi, subdivision of the Vehari District in the Punjab province, had come for picnicking when the child accidentally slipped while playing and fell into the canal and drowned.
The girl was identified as Dua Fatima. Rescue reached the spot and started a search operation to locate the child’s body. However, her body has not yet been recovered.
