Summary Islamabad Traffic Police deployed over 350 personnel to manage traffic around cattle markets ahead of Eid ul Azha celebrations.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - Islamabad Traffic Police has finalised a special traffic management plan for cattle markets across the federal capital ahead of Eid ul Azha.
Chief Traffic Officer Muhammad Sarfraz Virk said more than 350 officers and personnel would perform duties under the special Eid traffic plan.
He said additional traffic officials had been deployed at and around cattle markets to guide commuters and ensure smooth traffic flow.
The CTO urged citizens to avoid parking vehicles on roadsides near cattle markets and instead use designated parking areas to prevent congestion and traffic blockages.
According to Virk, Islamabad Traffic Police personnel would remain on duty round the clock during Eid holidays to facilitate citizens and maintain traffic discipline across the city.
He appealed to the public to cooperate with traffic authorities and strictly follow the issued traffic plan to help ensure uninterrupted movement on roads.
Pakistan is set to observe Eid ul Azha on May 27 after the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced the sighting of the Zilhaj moon on May 17.
The announcement was made following a meeting held at the Pakistan Meteorological Department in Karachi under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad.
Meanwhile, the federal government has also announced a three-day public holiday from May 26 to May 28 for Eid ul Azha celebrations.
