Summary Pakistan concluded Hajj flight operations as thousands of pilgrims departed for Saudi Arabia ahead of annual pilgrimage rituals.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan’s Hajj flight operation is concluding today as 3,296 pilgrims are departing for Saudi Arabia through 12 flights from different cities across the country.

The final Hajj flight from Lahore, PK-741, is scheduled to depart at 10:30pm carrying 290 passengers.

Officials said that by last night, a total of 114,078 Pakistani pilgrims had already arrived in Saudi Arabia for Hajj.

Authorities further stated that the last group of 457 pilgrims currently present in Medina would reach Mecca today.

In addition, 44,146 private Hajj pilgrims are also present in Saudi Arabia.

The return Hajj flight operation from Jeddah is expected to begin on May 31.

According to officials, monitoring teams from the ministry have completed interviews of 4,913 private Hajj pilgrims.

Authorities also took action on complaints regarding overcharging of Hajj expenses, resulting in refunds amounting to 73,255 Saudi riyals.
