Summary Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met MQM leaders to discuss federal budget proposals, Karachi development projects and the political situation.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Shehbaz Sharif met a delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan led by Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
The MQM delegation included Farooq Sattar, Members of the National Assembly Syed Aminul Haque and Javed Hanif.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the MQM delegation presented its proposals for the upcoming federal budget to the prime minister.
The participants also held detailed discussions regarding public welfare and development projects in Sindh and Karachi under the federal government.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said MQM was an important ally of the federal government and had supported every public welfare initiative undertaken by the administration.
The prime minister directed relevant authorities to review MQM’s budget proposals and prepare a practical and comprehensive strategy.
The meeting also included discussions on the country’s political situation.
