Summary Karachi police removed SSP City and suspended several officers as investigations into the high-profile Anmol alias Pinky case expanded.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Senior police officials in Karachi have faced disciplinary action in connection with the high-profile Anmol alias Pinky case, as authorities widened the investigation into the matter.

According to police sources, SSP City Ali Hassan has been removed from his post, while recommendations have also been made for his suspension.

Sources said the SHO Garden, SIO Garden and the investigation officer had already been suspended earlier due to alleged negligence and procedural lapses linked to the case.

In the latest development, two female police officials have also been suspended as investigators continued examining different aspects of the case.

The case revolves around Anmol alias Pinky, whose alleged links with criminal networks and influential individuals triggered a major police investigation in Karachi. The matter gained significant public attention after allegations surfaced regarding possible protection, irregularities and the involvement of certain officials.

Earlier, Javed Alam Odho had hinted during a press conference that several influential and reputable individuals could emerge during the course of the investigation.

Police authorities have not yet disclosed further details about the possible involvement of those individuals, however officials say the inquiry is continuing and more actions may follow based on investigation findings.
