Judiciary itself is responsible for whatever has been done with judges so far, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary has said. He said that the court decisions from Maulvi Tameezuddin to Iqbal Taka case were deplorable. He said that no dictator could oust judges if they firmly stood by the principles. Giving remarks during the Sindh High Court Bar Association (SHCBA) petitions hearing, CJP said that no judge could be ousted had the judiciary been stood firm by principles. He said that the current petition was not just an issue of judges removal but it was an affair of constitutional supremacy and rule of law. A 14-member bench of SC is hearing a petition by SHCBA in which it had demanded cancellation of the steps validated by the November 03 actions.
