Summary Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi meets Iranian counterpart as Iran praises Pakistan’s key role in ceasefire, highlighting mediation efforts and stressing dialogue for lasting regional peace
TEHRAN (Dunya News) - Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met his Iranian counterpart Eskandar Momeni, where both sides held detailed discussions on the latest regional situation.
Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni praised Pakistan’s historic efforts in facilitating ceasefire and playing a reconciliatory role in the region.
On the occasion, he stated that the ceasefire was achieved through the mediation of brotherly country Pakistan, adding that Iran will always remember Pakistan’s sincere and positive role.
Mohsin Naqvi said Pakistan desires lasting peace and stability in the region and is making sincere efforts for a durable resolution of the Middle East conflict.
He emphasized that war is not a solution to any issue and that dialogue remains the only way to resolve disputes.
