Heavy rains in Sindh, Karachi, 13 dead

The spell of heavy downpour is in progress in Karachi and interior Sindh. Thirteen people died in Karachi in the incidents of roofs collapse and electrocution while several villages in coastal areas are flooded. The rain and thundering that started in Karachi last night still continues. A kid drowned in Abdur Rehman Goth after the canal was flooded .In Baldia Town two died when a roof caved in. Some 162 feeders tripped in the city and a larger area of the city is without electricity. Railway Signal System is adversely affected due to the heavy rains and the trains coming from Punjab to Sindh are getting hours late. Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Sialkot and surrounding cities are also in the grip of heavy rains and the temperature is dropped in these cities.
