Punjab government posts Dr Shehanshah Faisal Azeem as Director General Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal, citing his extensive administrative experience and reputation as a competent officer.
LAHORE (Web Desk) - The Punjab government posted grade-20 officer Dr Shehanshah Faisal Azeem as Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Department Director General (DG).
Dr Azeem is PhD in Public Administration & Policy from Pennsylvania State University, USA.
Dr Azeem was earlier awaiting posting in the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) Punjab.
Dr Azeem has previously served as Information Secretary Punjab and Director General Public Relations (DGPR), where he played an important role in managing government image building.
During his career in the civil service, he has also held several key administrative positions in the provincial government. These include Special Secretary Health Department, Chief Executive Officer Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority (PECTA), and Punjab Agriculture Department Special Secretary.
Officials believe that his extensive experience in governance, policy implementation, and public administration will help strengthen the functioning of the Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Mal Department. The department is responsible for welfare initiatives, social protection programs, and financial assistance for underprivileged segments of society across the province.
