PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has said the PTI is not doing politics on the health of its founder, adding the former prime minister is being deprived of his constitutional right to have an excess to his personal physician.

Speaking at an oath-taking ceremony of journalists of the Peshawar Press Club at the Chief Minister's House, Sohail Afridi said the Constitution and law of Pakistan have also been imprisoned in Adiala Jail.

He congratulated all the newly elected members. Unlike the elections in Pakistan, the club has never postponed or delayed its elections, he said.

Sohail Afridi added that the Pakistani media is silent on the Punjab government's ‘purchase’ of a plane worth billions of rupees, adding that the plane is being purchased with the money of the poor people.

He said, “The federation is indebted to us. I will increase the Press Club grant from Rs100 million to Rs150 million, the Valley's master plan is yet to be prepared, I will increase the endowment funds of journalists from Rs200 million to Rs500 million.

“PTI always wants journalism to be strong. Not only journalism but all institutions of democracy should be strong. In other provinces, journalists who play videos of those who slip their tongues are not forgiven. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was under the influence of terrorism for 22 years, but journalists continued their work.”

Sohail Afridi said he peacefully protested for five days over the health issue of the founder of PTI.

“We do not want to do politics on the health of our leader. If we did politics on health, then our attitude would have changed. Imran Khan is not even being given access to his personal physician.”

He said treatment of prisoners is clear in fundamental rights, some leaders put the constitution and laws of Pakistan on the tip of their shoes.
The founder had allowed a person who had faked platelets to be treated abroad, those who went for treatment for three weeks came to Pakistan after three years, the KP CM went on saying.
