Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) workers from across the country danced on the roads and distributed sweets among the people after the Supreme Court (SC) acquitted PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif in plan hijacking case on Friday. A large number of PML-N activists gathered outside the SC building after the verdict and raised slogans in favor of their leader and judiciary. Workers danced on the beat of drums and greeted each other. In Quetta PML-N office bearers congratulated each other while in Karachi the PML-N Lawyers Wing held a rally from Karachi Bar to the Karachi Press Club. In Multan also a wave of happiness ran among the people after the verdict. Talking to the media, lawyers said that the verdict was a continuation of the independent judiciarys achievements. However, a mixed response was witnessed among the general public regarding the decision. PML-N woman activists danced outside the Lahore Press Club and distributed sweets. Special Adviser to Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif Zeb Jaffar said that Nawaz Sharif was the most popular leader and the people wanted to see him as Prime Minister.
