QUETTA (Dunya News) – Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), visited Quetta today to review ongoing security operations.

Upon arrival, he was received by the Commander Quetta Corps and immediately briefed on the prevailing security environment and internal security measures. The briefing included details of recent terrorist attacks orchestrated by Indian-backed, internationally-designated militants of Fitna al Hindustan.

Officials highlighted the swift and aggressive response of security forces, which successfully prevented attempts to destabilise peace, security, and development in Balochistan.

Measures to further strengthen the writ of the state and protect the populace, critical infrastructure, and law enforcement personnel were discussed in detail. The top military commander emphasised that no terrorist or their facilitator would be spared, and all would be dealt with strictly under the law. He stressed that violence and terrorism could not be rationalised under any pretext.

Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the professionalism, valour, and sacrifices of officers and troops from all law enforcement agencies. He acknowledged their crucial role in thwarting anti-Pakistan designs and maintaining law and order under challenging circumstances.

Later, the top general visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Quetta alongside Chief Minister of Balochistan Sarfaraz Bugti. There, he met injured personnel from the Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan, and Police. He lauded their high morale, courage, and steadfastness in defending the nation from foreign-sponsored terrorism.
