Islamabad court closes two 2022 march case against PTI founder

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - A district and sessions court in Islamabad has close two cases related to the 'Haqeeqi Azadi March' against the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

The hearing took place at the Islamabad district courts, where Judicial Magistrate Azhar Nadeem presided over the proceedings.

During the hearing, the founder PTI was represented by his counsel, Sardar Muhammad Masroof Advocate.

The defense counsel argued that the cases date back to 2022 and that several co-accused individuals have already been acquitted.

He further informed the court that an acquittal application filed on behalf of the founder PTI founder has been pending for the past two years.

The lawyer also stated that the founder PTI founder has not been produced before the court during this period.

The defense requested the court either to hear the acquittal application or to consign the cases to the record room.

Accepting the request, the court ordered that both cases against the founder PTI founder be closed.
