Sindh Governor demands judicial inquiry into Gul Plaza incident

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori has demanded a judicial inquiry into the Gul Plaza incident and announced that he would write letters to the Chief Justices of the Supreme Court and the Sindh High Court.
Addressing a press conference in the Governor House on Thursday, Kamran Tessori said that even a week after the incident, politics is still being played. He added that attempts to shift blame onto others would not succeed and that those responsible must be identified and punished.
He said that some quarters are misleading the Sindh Chief Minister, and questioned why the machinery is not functioning properly. He asked why the sons of those whose fathers were killed in the incident were beaten by police. He said that mothers are begging for justice.
Kamran Tessori further said that why the people who are paying taxes are also lose their lives. He warned that if anyone tried to politicize the issue, he would expose everything. He accused the administration of criminal negligence and said he would not allow any cover-up.
The Sindh Governor also said that he would ask Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir to look into the matter, stating that Karachi is waiting for him and added that he should see who committed injustices here.
He also announced that one plot of land would be given to each family of the deceased.
