PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has said that negotiations cannot be held with those who do not accept Pakistan and the principles of the Constitution.

Speaking at a press conference in Peshawar, Governor Kundi said that all stakeholders must work together to establish law and order in the province. He added that steps are being taken to address the issues of internally displaced persons (IDPs), while law enforcement agencies are making serious efforts to restore peace.

He stated that Afghan soil is being used in terrorist incidents and that Afghan nationals have been found involved in some attacks.

Pakistan, he said, has provided clear evidence of terrorism to the Afghan government. However, he termed the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s demand to go across the border to seek evidence as illogical and absurd, adding that PTI leadership has consistently followed a policy of negative statements and creating unrest.

The governor said that the security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is deteriorating, with both security forces and civilians being targeted by terrorists. He emphasized that once peace is established in the province, development resources can be fully utilized, leading to improved public welfare.

Reiterating his stance, Kundi said that talks cannot be held with those who reject Pakistan and the Constitution, and praised the efforts of the Pakistan Armed Forces and security institutions in maintaining peace in the province.

He concluded by saying that peace is the guarantor of development and that all efforts to rid the province of terrorism will continue.
