The SC has ordered action against former principal secretary of PM, and two ex DGs of FIA.

Three-member bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry conducted the hearing of a fraud case against Khuram Rasool, former media coordinator of the prime minister.DG FIA Tehseen Anwar Shah was served a notice during last hearing to appear before the court but he was absent.Rashid A Rizvi, counsel for petitioner Pervez Hassan, maintained the stance that the bank rejected the cheques given by Khurram Rasool. He said according to information, Khurram Rasool was arrested but he was later freed.The Chief Justice inquired why Nargis Sethi registered complaints against Khurram Rasool?Rasheed A Rizvi told the court that Nargis Sethi at that time was principal secretary of Prime Minister and Khurram Rasool was media coordinator of the PM.The SC ruled that two former director generals of FIA Waseem Ahmad and Malik Iqbal and Principal Secretary of the Prime Minister Khushnood Lashari were involved in dely of Khurram Rasool’s arrest.The court ruled that these three officers should be arrested or any other legal action should be taken against these three officers.The Supreme Court ordered to present the report of action against Waseem Ahmad, Malik Iqbal and Khushnood Lashari and adjourned the hearing till Tuesday.
