ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said Sindh Culture Day played an unparalleled role in cultural harmony of Pakistan.
Sindh Culture Day reminds us of the province’s unparalleled contributions to Pakistan’s cultural harmony, democratic tradition, intellectual prowess, and economic progress, the PM said.
In a message issued on the occasion of Sindh Culture Day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said, “Today we are celebrating the day with Sindhi brothers and sisters. Spiritual poets like Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and Sachal Sarmast were born in Sindh.”
He said that the message of the elders of Sindh still guides towards solidarity and compassion, and the heritage of Sindh is reflected in the Ajrak, Topi, music and folk traditions.
Sindh residents are celebrating “Sindh Culture Day” with traditional zeal and vibrant enthusiasm, showcasing their deep connection to the province’s rich heritage.

In Karachi, events are being organized around the Press Club and nearby areas, where people are donning Sindhi caps, Ajrak shawls, and other traditional attire to express their pride in Sindh’s ancient civilization.
Sindh Culture Day is marked by cultural rallies, musical performances, exhibitions, and tableaus highlighting the unique customs, art, and folklore of the region. Children are also actively participating, performing traditional dances and sketches that reflect the cultural heritage of their communities.
Local markets have witnessed a surge in the sale of Sindhi caps, Ajrak, and other cultural artifacts, as residents embrace the festive spirit. Folk music and regional tunes are adding to the celebratory atmosphere, creating a lively environment across streets and public spaces.
