PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The district administration in South Waziristan has announced a complete curfew in Wana on Monday, with strict movement restrictions to remain in place from 6am to 6pm.

According to the official notification, all forms of travel within the affected areas will be prohibited during the 12-hour security measure.

Authorities confirmed that all markets, shops and commercial centres in Wana will remain closed throughout the curfew period. Entry into Wana has also been barred, with only emergency travel permitted under security clearance.

Officials stated that individuals facing urgent situations may be allowed to travel, provided they obtain prior permission from police or security forces and submit their identity card along with necessary documents for verification.

The district administration has urged residents to fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies, stressing that the restrictions have been put in place for public safety.
