Counsel for Mansoor Ijaz, Akram Sheikh has filed an application to the judicial commission probing memogate to record testimony of Ijaz through video conferencing.Earlier, Mansoor Ijaz refused to come to Pakistan fearing his possible arrest on arrival.On the other hand, Pakistan’s former ambassador to the US Husain Haqqani has submitted a request to the commission to cancel Mansoor Ijaz’s right to testify if he fails to appear before the commission on January 24 (tomorrow).The request also states that Ijaz is making excuses of not coming to Pakistan even after assurances for his safety had already been made.
