Summary
Six militants were killed and 10 were seriously injured during an exchange of firing between the extremists and security forces at Wana-Tank road near Rustam Ada in South Waziristan Agency on Monday morning. According to Political Agent, exchange of firing took place as militants attacked a security checkpost with heavy weapons. The security forces, while retaliating to the armed attack, encircled the militants and killed six of them while 10 received injuries. Prompt and effective retaliation by security forces compelled the attackers to escape from the scene leaving behind the dead bodies of their companions. The security forces also arrested two injured militants.
