LHC allows Sheikh Rashid to travel abroad for Umrah

Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench permits Sheikh Rasheed to travel abroad for Umrah after removing his name from travel lists.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – The Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi Bench has approved former federal minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad’s request to travel abroad.
Sheikh Rashid appeared in court along with his lawyer, Sardar Abdul Razzaq Khan.
During the hearing, his lawyer argued that Sheikh Rashid’s name had been placed on the PNICL and Passport Control List. The FIA’s counsel stated that his name was added to the passport control list on the orders of the Anti-Terrorism Court.

The judge remarked that Sheikh Rashid should be allowed to go for Umrah, as his prayers might help improve the country’s situation.
Subsequently, Justice Sadaqat Ali Khan of the Lahore High Court permitted Sheikh Rashid to travel abroad and disposed of his petition.
