No room for conviction without hearing: Raja Riaz

Talking to media men outside Supreme Court on Tuesday, Opposition leader in Punjab Assembly Raja Riaz said there was no room in the constitution that one be convicted without being heard.He said that practicing license of Babar Awan had also been martyred in Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto case. PPP regretted that Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was also deprived of the services of lawyer, he stated.Babar Awan had sought time for engaging a lawyer but he was not given time, he remarked. It was only offence of Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Babar Awan that they were sticking to President Asif Ali Zardari stance, he added.“I want to make it clear that the entire nation is and will remain with Asif Ali Zardari. PPP was neither deterred earlier nor will be deterred in future, he said.
