PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - Faisal Amin Gandapur, Member of the National Assembly (MNA) and brother of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, has resigned from three standing committees of the National Assembly.

In a letter to the NA Speaker, Faisal Amin stated that he was stepping down from the committee memberships on the instructions of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan.

It is noteworthy that just a day earlier, Imran Khan had directed the PTI to withdraw from all National Assembly committees and boycott the upcoming by-elections.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan confirmed that the PTI founder had instructed party members to quit all NA committees.

She further said that Imran Khan had advised Barrister Gohar and Salman Akram Raja not to participate in the by-elections, stressing that contesting them would only grant legitimacy to the disqualification process.
