Compensation distribution among KP flood victims continues: Saif

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Information Adviser Barrister Dr. Saif, has said that the process of distributing compensation among flood victims is ongoing at a rapid pace, and timely payments to all affected individuals will be ensured.

In his statement, Saif said that on the instructions of KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, compensation distribution is progressing swiftly. Cheques worth Rs. 664 million have already been distributed among the families of 332 martyrs, including Rs. 342 million to the families of 171 martyrs from Buner. Additionally, cheques worth Rs. 19.5 million have been distributed among the injured.

He further stated that compensation payments for houses fully or partially damaged by the floods have also begun.

According to Saif, cheques worth Rs. 58 million have been issued to the owners of completely destroyed homes, while cheques worth Rs. 14.5 million have been given to the owners of 39 partially damaged homes. The process of compensating for damaged houses will be further accelerated.

The provincial information advisor also mentioned that Rs. 15,000 in the form of food stamps have been provided to affected individuals via a digital app. He emphasised that under the leadership of the CM, the provincial government stands firmly with the affected people, and timely compensation to all victims will be ensured.
