KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday issued notices to all relevant parties, including the Advocate General of Sindh and the Attorney General of Pakistan, in response to a petition seeking the removal of Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori from office.

During the hearing, Justice Adnanul Karim Memon questioned whether the court has the authority to remove a sitting governor.

The petitioner’s counsel argued that the President of Pakistan has been named as a respondent in the petition, and the court can issue directions to the president regarding the matter.
When asked why Governor Tessori should be removed, the lawyer stated that the office of the governor is constitutionally required to remain neutral.

However, the petitioner alleged that Governor Tessori is actively supporting a political party, which undermines his role as the federal representative and violates the impartial nature of the office.

The court has sought responses from all involved parties by the next hearing and has adjourned further proceedings until October 8, 2025.
