ECP issues by-election schedule for Sahiwal, Dera Ghazi Khan seats

Polling for the by-elections in NA-143, NA-185, and PP-203 would take place on October 5
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Election Commission has released the schedule for by-elections in NA-143 Sahiwal and NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan.
The schedule for the by-election in the Punjab Provincial Assembly seat PP-203 Sahiwal has also been announced.
According to the schedule, polling for the by-elections in NA-143, NA-185, and PP-203 would take place on October 5.
As per the schedule, the Returning Officer would issue a public notice on August 26. Candidates can submit their nomination papers from August 28 to August 30, and the preliminary list of candidates will be released on August 30.
According to the Election Commission, scrutiny of candidates' nomination papers would be completed by September 3. Appeals against the acceptance or rejection of nomination papers can be filed by September 8, with decisions on these appeals to be made by September 12.
The schedule further states that the preliminary list of candidates will be issued on September 13 after the appeal decisions. Candidates can withdraw their nomination papers by September 15.
The ECP has stated that the final list of candidates for NA-143, NA-185, and PP-203 will be released on September 16.
