KARACHI (Dunya News) – The Pakistan Navy has successfully completed a two-day Port Security and Harbour Defence Exercise at Karachi Harbour to enhance operational tactics, techniques, and procedures, while strengthening inter-agency coordination.

According to the Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) Navy, the exercise brought together Pakistan Navy Coastal Command, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), Karachi Port Trust (KPT) and various law enforcement agencies.

 

 

Participants rehearsed coordinated actions under high-pressure conditions, focusing on swift detection, deterrence, and neutralisation of potential threats to maritime and naval infrastructure. The drills emphasised real-time communication, joint situational awareness, and streamlined command and control.

Pakistan and Turkiye conclude first bilateral amphibious naval exercise

Earlier this week, Pakistan and Turkish Navies concluded their first-ever bilateral amphibious exercise. The drills featured combat firing techniques, amphibious landings, urban warfare manoeuvres, convoy escorting, and live firing scenarios, aimed at enhancing tactical coordination and preparedness in littoral environments.

The joint amphibious exercise marked a significant milestone in defence cooperation, reinforcing longstanding naval ties between Pakistan and Türkiye.
