CHAKWAL (Dunya News) – Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider has stated that the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s demand to declare Chakwal and Jhelum as disaster-hit areas is justified.
Speaking to the media in Chakwal, the governor said that he would speak with the Punjab government to ensure Chakwal is officially declared a disaster-affected area. He added that both the Punjab government and the Governor's Office would contribute to compensating for the damages caused by the rains.
He further mentioned that a survey is currently underway to assess the losses caused by the heavy rains in Chakwal.
