Governor Balochistan Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Magsi called on President Asif Ali Zardari in the Presidency on Wednesday and discussed matters regarding law and order situation in the province and status of developmental projects. The president said the government was committed to remove the sense of deprivation of the people of Balochistan and address the financial problems by adopting special measures for the province. President Zardari invited the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development to avail investment opportunities in Pakistan and invest in oil and gas, power generation, and infrastructure development. Talking to a delegation of Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD), UAE led by its Acting Director General Muhammad Saif Al-Suwaidi, the President said the government has announced incentive to encourage investment in these sectors. The delegation also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the level of cooperation between the Pakistani government and the Fund in financing development projects in Pakistan. The President said that Pakistan values its relationship with UAE and urged for further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two countries in all fields. He also appreciated the support and assistance of the UAE government in the relief and rehabilitation of the displaced people. The DG UAE Fund said the Fund was financing development projects in Pakistan and assured the President that it would extend cooperation and investment in financing a number of investment opportunities in Pakistan.
