Malala visits her native village for first time since attack

SHANGLA (Dunya News) - For the first time since being shot by the Taliban in 2012, Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai on Wednesday arrived in Shangla district where she reached her native village Barkana via copter.
She was flanked by her parents. She met with her relatives in her native area. Also, the nobel prize winner interacted with local people.
DIG Malakand Sher Akbar Khan said Malala also visited the recently-constructed school in the area. After a successful visit, she has travelled back to Islamabad.
Earlier, Yousafzai returned to london on Monday after wrapping her visit to Pakistan, where she attended the International Conference on Girls’ Education in Muslim Communities.
Parliamentary Secretary Farah Naz and Director Home Publicity, Press Information Department Nergis Shazia Chaudhary bid farewell to Malala at the Islamabad International Airport.
As a guest of honour, Malala addressed the concluding session of the conference and emphasized on promoting women’s literacy and empowerment.
