PTI founder met Gen Bajwa four days before the no-confidence motion
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI founder Imran Khan would not make any deal come what may.
Speaking on Dunya News' programme "Baat Nikle Gi," Fawad Chaudhry stated that only four people knew about the plan to dissolve the assembly at the time of no-confidence motion.
“Imran Khan, Arif Alvi, attorney general and Fawad Chaudhry were aware of the development to dissolve the assembly,” he said.
He added that PTI founder met Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa four days before the no-confidence motion. Imran Khan was told that issues would be managed for him, he added.
Fawad Chaudhry said that PTI founder advised Gen Bajwa to hold elections after the assembly was dissolved.
“The idea to dissolve the Punjab Assembly came from Shah Mahmood Qureshi,” Chaudhry revealed.
He added that PML-N and PPP were ready to hold elections at that time.
He admitted that it was a big mistake to cut ties with Gen Bajwa.

According to former minister, he also advised Faiz Hameed and Imran Khan not to allow Nawaz Sharif to go abroad.
He added that PTI believed that Gen Bajwa would manage things for them but the situation got out of his control as well.
The former minister was of the view that PML-N leaders Rana Tanveer, Malik Ahmed Khan and Khawaja Asif used to meet Gen Bajwa at that time.
Gen Bajwa was told by the PML-N leaders that PTI government lost the popularity.
He added that PTI’s rise came as a result of decisions made after the no-confidence motion.
Responding to a question about a potential deal, Fawad Chaudhry asserted that Imran Khan would never make a deal.
