The government has decided to increase petrol price by Rs5.92 per litre, HOBC by Rs8.50,diesel by Rs6.94 per litre and kerosene oil by Rs7.48 per litre. Federal Advisor for Petroleum Dr. Asim Hussain while talking to media said that the Carbon Tax will be used to fill the deficit gap in the budget. He also added that the commercial CNG and gas prices will remain intact. Dr.Asim said that the users will have to pay for the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project. The summary has been sent to Prime Minister Gilani suggesting increase in the petroleum products prices which will be implemented after the approval, the advisor added.
