Sindh govt imposes Section 144 in Karachi for five days

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Home Department on Saturday imposed Section 144 in Karachi for five days, said a notification issued by the department.

According to the notification, Section-144 has been enforced from October 13 (today) to October 17.

The order says, “There will be a ban on gatherings, processions and rallies in the city.”


Protests will be banned. There will be no assembly of more than five people in a place in the city, the Sindh Home Department said.

ILLEGAL CALL CENTRE UNEARTHED, SIX HELD

Meanwhile, in Defence Phase-5, FIA Cybercrime Circle during a raid on an illegal call centre arrested six persons for collecting money from foreigners by using their credit cards fraudulently.

The raid was conducted on a tip-off that a gang was running a fake call centre in the name of security agency.

The arrested suspects were identified as Qasim, Ghani Khan, Waqar, Abdul Rehman, Arnold and Moss Admin.

The suspects would collect information from foreigners with deception and later steal money from their credit cards. During the raid five suspects escaped.
