‘I am grateful to Allah Almighty who fulfilled my wish to come to Pakistan'
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Eminent religious scholar Dr Zakir Naik on Saturday night received a rousing welcome on his arrival at Badshah-e-Masjid, Dunya News reported.
Addressing the mammoth congregation, the great Islamic scholar said it was his ardent desire to come to Pakistan.
“I am grateful to Allah Almighty who fulfilled my wish and granted me an opportunity to come to this country and address the people of Pakistan at his historical mosque.
“I am very happy. I want to see how the people of Lahore love me,” the Muslim scholar said.
He gave response of a remarkable reception from the excited attendees with a gesture, “I love you too. I am very happy today finding myself among you.”
Shedding light on the significance of Holy Quran, Dr Zakir Naik said, “Quran is the guidance of humanity. It has been revealed on the last Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him).
“It is the light which guides people and provides them with a path how to come out of abyss of ignorance and darkness. It is the book who gives hope to those living in despair and hopelessness.
“It is the light for the oppressed and gives them a code of life for the success of this world and the hereafter.”
