Pakistan
Court adjourned hearing till Oct 11
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday sought report from the Interior Ministry regarding release of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan’s focal person Intazar Hussain Panjutha.
The IHC conducted hearing on plea for release of missing focal person of the PTI founder in which Islamabad Inspector General Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also appeared.
IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq asked about the last location of the missing focal person of former premier before the arrest to which the lawyer responded that he was last seen in the F-6 area of Islamabad after which he remained missing.
The Islamabad IG informed the court that he had constituted a special investigation team led by SP Investigations, adding that his car was seen in the video received through CCTV footage in which Advocate Mirza Asif was also accompanying him.
He told the court that Panjutha’s car was seen in Ayub Chowk and F-6 from where he also moved to Faizabad along with Advocate Mirza.
Panjutha’s lawyer said he expected the IG to take Panjutha alongside himself in the court to which the IHC CJ wondered if the Islamabad IG had a magic wand to do so.
Later, the court adjourned the hearing till Oct 11.
