Tractors will be provided and agricultural malls will be established for farmers
FAISALABAD (Dunya News) - Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz asserted that the country could only progress with good governance and politics.
Addressing a ceremony at Agriculture University Faisalabad, she stated that terrorism would not guarantee youth employment.
She berated the opposition saying politics was maligned however politics was a part of lives. They merely chanted slogans but no one was granted employment on merit since the last six years.
“No government has served the public and I hope to serve the public and make their lives easy as government and power is temporary,” Maryam Nawaz stressed.
She emphasised that its government was going to launch the biggest Kissan Package to facilitate farmers.
EMPLOYMENT ON MERIT
Maryam Nawaz highlighted that she faced backlash for support of youth in mainstream and now her party consisted of 95 pc young people and her cabinet also included young educated and hardworking people.
She claimed that all young individuals were being given Rs 60, 000 monthly salary and everyone was selected on merit and there was no such example of merit and transparency system in history.
Maryam Nawaz asked a question from youth “do you want a Pakistan where there is culture of hate, and abuse but no prosperity? You have to think and decide about your future again.”
Punjab CM stated that she knew the miseries of unemployed youth who were knocking doors for jobs and facing criticism of society.She assured youth to grant them employment opportunities as it was just a beginning.
Maryam Nawaz compared the Punjab governance model to KP province where people were devoid of basic facilities of health and being treated in Punjab.
PUNJAB IS SERVING ITS PEOPLE
Maryam Nawaz recalled her projects within a short span of time for the welfare of people.
Women Virtual Police Stations were established for protection of women to provide them safety on spot with just pressing a button.
Punjab CM clarified that the government didn’t buy wheat from farmers as it would give profits to mafias and farmers would go penniless.
She asserted that the prices were sharply reduced from Rs 25 to Rs 13 and no province sold bread at these price rates. It’s my vision to make bread affordable and make farmers happy.
She revealed that around 1 million applications were filed for Kissan Cards and 0.3 million farmers had been qualified and cards had been provided to them for interest free loans.
GREEN TRACTORS SCHEME
Punjab CM Maryam announced to launch ‘Green Tractors Scheme’ that would be provide subsidy for big tractors as they were useful for farmers
She stated that one million would be paid by the Punjab government while the other would be paid by farmers for purchase of tractors.
AGRICULTURAL MALLS FOR FARMERS
She recalled a huge flux of applications for every scheme and project. It’s the confidence and trust of the public that they filed applications for every scheme.
She revealed another scheme agricultural malls will be established in South Punjab including Multan, Sahiwal, where farmers would get all facilities under one roof.
