LAHORE (Dunya News) – A day after the Supreme Court (SC) issued detailed verdict in the reserved seats case, an application was filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) to implement the verdict as soon as possible.

Petitioner Muneer Ahmad argued that a detailed verdict by an eight-member bench of the apex court had been issued but not implemented yet.

“Letters have been issued to the speakers of all four provincial assemblies but reserved seats have not been allocated to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) till date” the petition said.

It was pleaded that the LHC should order to give reserved seats to the PTI and implement the SC verdict in letter and spirit.

It should be noted that the SC issued a detailed verdict about the reserved seats on Sept 23, authored by puisne Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, in which it declared the PTI entitled for reserved seats and ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to grant reserved seats to the PTI.
