LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz has stressed that the democracy was inevitable for Pakistan’s development and progress and public welfare.
Sharing her message on International Democracy Day, she hailed the sacrifices of all democratic leaders including Nawaz Sharif for protection of democracy.
Maryam Nawaz highlighted that PML-N set the trajectory of Pakistan towards development following democratic values.
She insisted that economic and political stability could only be guaranteed by strong democracy.
Punjab CM mentioned that democracy wasn’t just a governance style but an ideology of public power, their rights and their service.
Maryam Nawaz insisted that democracy empowered public to elect their representatives.
“A country develops and progress with strengthening of democracy. Democracy is a source of social justice and public prosperity,” Maryam Nawaz highlighted.
International Day of Democracy is being observed worldwide today to promote democracy and create awareness amongst masses about the importance of strong democratic institutions.
