ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Federal Cabinet meeting has been postponed for the second time.
Sources indicated that the new time for the meeting would be announced soon.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar clarified that the cabinet meeting has not been cancelled but delayed.
Initially scheduled for 11 AM today by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the meeting was later rescheduled to 3 pm.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to preside over the meeting. The cabinet would review the country’s overall political and economic situation and focus on the proposed constitutional amendment package.
During the session, Federal Ministers Mohsin Naqvi and Azam Nazeer Tarar are expected to update the cabinet members on their meeting with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and discuss his demands.
Following cabinet approval, the amendments package would be presented in parliament.
