Sindh government approves army, rangers, FC deployment across province in Muharram

KARACHI (Dunya News) - The Sindh government has decided to deploy army, rangers and Frontiers corps (FC) personnel across the province during the Muharram month pertaining to security.

The deployment of army, rangers and FC personnel across the province has been directed on the request of the Sindh Home Department.

Army and FC could control any area on the instructions of civil administration.

The army will be deployed across the country under Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 section 4 and 5.

The Federal Ministry of Interior issued the order to deploy the army for assistance of civil administration.

The deployment of the army will be in the light of ground facts and provinces would have due rights to do so.

The Sindh Home Department has contacted army officials. The roadmap for deployment of the army in Muharram has been devised.
