Austerity measures: PM Shehbaz decides to abolish key ministries

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif speeded up the austerity plan amid strict economic conditions and decided to abolish some ministries.
According to the sources, prime minister asked for a plan to eliminate five ministries. The Reforms Cell established by the PM started working on the right sizing. It also sought recommendations from federal ministries in a week.

Sources further said that Information Technology is the top among them. Others include Kashmir Affairs, the Ministry of Saffron, the Ministry of Industries and Production and the Ministry of Health Services.
Sources said that five federal ministries have started working to answer the questions.
