CM Gandapur briefs PTI core committee on expected 'Azm-e-Istehkam' op

The members of the PTI core committee oppose operation Azm-e-Istehkam
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – An emergency meeting of the core committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was held in Peshawar on Sunday which was also attended by Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur.
The members of the PTI core committee opposed the operation Azm-e-Istehkam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. CM Gandapur briefed the members reading expected operation in the province.
Gandapur presented his views regarding operation Azm-e-Istehkam, related to terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, before the core committee.
The Chief Minister while giving the briefing said that no decision was taken about the operation in KP in any meeting and added that if any decision was taken regarding the operation then the minutes of that meeting should be brought forward.
He said that only discussions related to incidents of terrorism in the province were held during all the meetings I attended as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. No decision was taken regarding launching of any operation in the province, he said and added that KP cannot afford another operation.
Gandapur told the core committee that if any decision is taken about operation Azm-e-Istehkam, he will first inform the core committee. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is the province most affected by terrorism.
The chief minister informed that he will also discuss the issue with the PTI founder Imran Khan very soon. The core committee expressed confidence in Gandapur.
