Punjab to have 35pc more rains this monsoon season

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued a high alert about rainfall in this monsoon season.
PDMA issued a notification to the relevant authorities about the start of the monsoon season from July 1st across the province.
PDMA has cautioned about 15 to 50mm of rainfall in the first week of July, meanwhile, expected rainfall in the second week of July will be 25 to 35 mm.
The disaster management body has cautioned about the risk of urban flooding and hill torrents in South Punjab.
PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia directed the administration to ensure precautionary measures to mitigate emergencies. He instructed them to take measures for the drainage system and cleaning of waterways.
